Congratulations to Elaine Chao on being confirmed as our new Secretary of Transportation! I wish her good luck in dealing with our transportation infrastructure!
Check out this link to an article about the recent immigration bans. This article provides interesting evidence in favor of the ban. I found this on Facebook. Enjoy!
The refugees are trying to escape things from war to crime to terrorism, etc. It would defeat the purpose of seeking asylum in another country if that other country let in the kinds of people who are causing the things refugees want to escape. You can apply the same sort of principle to our neighbors past our southern border.
This is a good summary of what Trump has already done with immigration. Enjoy, and thanks to the Aussie Conservative for this post!
A beauty of capitalism is that it allows people to freely help who they can with their own skills.
I found this post by the Aussie Conservative on Trump’s immigration policies. I thought it was a good reiteration of what we American conservatives expect from Trump. Enjoy, and thanks to the Aussie Conservative for this great post!
Recently, I have posted a few things about Trump’s immigration executive orders, and I have clearly stated that I believe that though they are affecting good people who want to be in this country for the right reasons, they are the best thing for everyone because of the state of the world and what’s happened in the past. Being that my university (sadly, like so many other universities and educational institutions) is a liberal cesspool, I always knew there would be outcry against these orders…now, it’s been confirmed. Within the past few days, both the president and provost of my university have issued statements against the executive orders, declaring them unethical. They don’t seem to realize that the Middle East and countries south of our border have been exploiting our lack of border security and have been causing major problems for our country. I know that there are people from both of those regions who are good people and don’t want to cause harm to America, but are liberals really that blind as to jump in outrage at these orders? I’m afraid that the answer is yes.
I came across this post by the Aussie Conservative about some counterarguments to common pro-abortion arguments. Enjoy, and thanks to the Aussie Conservative for this post!
My props to the politicians and other citizens of America who participated in the March for Life this weekend to stand for the right to life! The right to life is arguably one of the most important rights, and it is important that we defend it! I wish I had been there with you all!
For the past few days, President Trump has been catching flack for the immigration policies from all sides…liberals, religious figures, etc. Well, I urge you to stop a moment and think about the bans that he has authorized on refugees in the Middle East and his plan to deal with illegal immigrants. Believe me, I have no problem helping people who truly need it, but there are a few problems with how refugees and illegal immigrants have been handled recently. First, none of our laws have been enforced. Our laws, in regards to illegals, should be that if they’re caught, they’re deported, yet we reward them by allowing to not be prosecuted even if they have committed crimes, especially in sanctuary cities…it’d be a whole different story if those laws were enforced. With the refugees, ISIS has explicitly said that they will exploit the issues with vetting Syrian and other refugees so that they can cause chaos. Now, the liberals keep complaining that you have to help these people, but I believe that not keeping track of who comes into this country won’t help anyone. Let me give you all an analogy: the reason conservatives want a temporary ban is because these problems with refugees and illegal aliens is like a leaky faucet. It is common sense that to fix a leaky faucet, you turn off the faucet, fix the leak, then turn everything back on–and everything works as good as new. The way I see it, not properly vetting anyone who comes here and not enforcing our immigration laws will do no good to not just American citizens but won’t help refugees or other immigrants that come here…legal or illegal. If we do not properly vet people who come here, it is much more likely that terrorists disguised as refugees or criminal illegal immigrant aliens will get into our country and cause harm to citizens and anyone who has come here for the right reasons. They won’t care who’s who. So, in my opinion, if you want to be kind and help refugees and other immigrants, you have to enforce the laws and vet people properly. After all, you wouldn’t want people who escaped bad things where they came from (be it terrorism, crime, extortion, war, etc.) to encounter it where they have found asylum.
